The death has occurred of Catherine Allen, the mother of Bill Allen, the current chair of West Cork Athletics and Cork County Athletics.

Allen (Castletown, Enniskeane, and late of Kilpatrick. Bandon) on Jauuary 5th 2017 peacefully at the Mercy Hospital. Catherine (Kitty) (nee Coveney) beloved wife of the late Thomas, Moneynacrohy and dear mother of Sandra (Corcoran), Bill, Michael, Thomas and Catherine (Darcy), doting Nana of Kate and Oísin (Corcoran), Peter, James, Aoife, Nicole, Daniel and Thomas (Allen), Alannah, Alison and Grace (Darcy). Sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law John and Richard, daughters-in-law Una, Eleanor and Rosemarie, brothers Kevin and Donal, sister-in-law Patricia, brother-in-law Cornelius, relatives, carers, neighbours and friends.
Lying in repose at her daughter Sandra’s Home in Moneynacrohy. Castletown (Post Code: P.4.7.R.Y.2.7.) on Thursday from 6pm and on Friday from 1pm. Reception on Saturday at 1pm at Church of the Immaculate Conception, Enniskeane followed by Requiem Mass at 2pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
